OUR TEAM
MFJN is a collaboration of individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities Metro Area partnering to advance racial equity by transforming our food system. We center communities that are most affected by systemic racism in the food system; Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), through collective power and shared resources.
We don’t have an organizational chart. We do have dedicated people and organizations who are committed to building the network as we go, shifting the social context of how we work together along the way.
To learn more about who’s building this network, visit the MFJN website or come get to know us in August at the fair!

Rosie has always been passionate about local food systems, but it wasn’t until 2020 that her journey with food justice began to blossom. It was then that started her Masters at the University of Minnesota, with her research focusing on how to measure the social impact of food justice organizations in the Twin Cities Metro. During this time, she met many local and regional leaders restoring their communities’ relationships with food. In 2023, Rosie had her first community journalism project with the Metro Food Justice Network, where she catalogued the Fall Plenum and Learning Journey in partnership with the Social Gastronomy Movement. Now, after starting Community Kinetics LLC in December of 2023, Rosie is working with us to coordinate The Common Table exhibit and envision a future where food justice continues to be #AtTheTable, enlightening the State Fair for years to come. For more about Rosie, find her on LinkedIn.
